Anime Gintama Sakata Gintoki Sword Wooden Cosplay

Tōyako Kanji Sakata Gintoki Wooden Sword

A bokutō is a wooden practice sword, and Sakata Gintoki carries one throughout Gintama. The kanji down the shaft reads Tōyako, or Lake Toya, because the joke is that Edo’s strongest swordsman carries a souvenir from a Hokkaido gift shop. This Sakata Gintoki wooden sword copies the same inscription.

Hardwood makes up the whole piece, shaped and finished smooth with no guard fitted. It weighs a fraction of a steel replica, which matters if you are wearing a Gintoki costume for a full convention day. Our Anime range includes more anime pieces; explore more favorite pieces. Order yours today.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a UK convention let me bring a Tōyako Kanji sword in?

Wooden props get through far more easily than metal ones, and most UK events accept them. Check the organiser’s props policy anyway.

When should I order it for Halloween?

Allow 7 to 12 business days, so the first week of October is a safe window for a 31st costume. Leave more room if you want engraving. Our Free Shipping Policy has the timings.

Is it safe to buy this for a fifteen-year-old?

We sell to adults only, so the order sits in your name either way. A wooden prop is a gentler thing to hand a teenager than a steel blade, but the call is yours. Our Age Restriction Policy sets out our rules.

Where should I keep it between conventions?

Flat or hanging, somewhere dry and away from direct heat. Wood warps if you lean it against a radiator or leave it in a car boot through summer.

Can I send it back if it arrives damaged?

You have 14 days from delivery to start a return or exchange. Keep the packaging until they have seen it. Our Refund and Returns Policy covers the conditions.
